RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - danzigkvlt - 04-17-2015 I´m really more into BM, but before BM there was death metal and I listened to it quite alot and my favorites where Entomed and lots of american death despite its more childish and in "your face" attitude often lacking nuaces. But then again I wasn´t to old at the time and I thought it was pretty cool and rebellious. Discovered death metal through Entombeds Clandestine therefore it´s one of my favorites, but Left Hand Path is probably better, I even like Woverine Blues despite all its critcism. I also really like Morbid Angels Blessed Are the Sick which showed the death metal doesn´t have to fast to visously good like Altars of Madness is. Deicides selftitled debute is a terriffic album, admittedly a little chidish with all it´s repetitions but at least for me it turned out to be fantastic and even though i rarely listen to i these days I still know the lyrics by heart. Honorable mentions goes to: Hypocrisy - Osculum Obscenum, Death - Human, Cannibal Corpse - Eaten Back to life RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - HorrorHounds - 04-20-2015 All great albums posted here \m/ \m/ Now the need to find more!! The Berzerker - Animosity. Hemdale - Rad Jackson. And there are tons more of course. RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - beernd - 06-02-2015 Have to dig pretty deep to come up with em again. In those years i was a huge fan of death metal but over the years i lost my appetite for the genre a bit. But here are a few of my old time favorites. RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - Dakstraede - 06-03-2015 Entrails - The Tomb Awaits (And for those who constantly tell it's plagiarism from Entombed, yes the album was released in 2011, but most of it was written in 1990, before Entombed's "Left Hand Path") RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - ricknroll - 09-15-2015 Death - Leprosy Cannibal Corpse - Tomb Of The Mutilated RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - dmidme - 11-01-2015 I don't see any reason not to include the stuff from 1985-1987. 1985: Possessed - Seven Churches 1987: Death - Scream Bloody Gore 1988: Death - Leprosy 1989: Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness Pestilence - Consuming Impulse Autopsy - Severed Survival 1990: Entombed - Left Hand Path Obituary - Cause of Death Death - Spiritual Healing 1991: Suffocation - Effigy of the Forgotten Death - Human Morbid Angel - Blessed Are the Sick 1992: Demigod - Slumber of Sullen Eyes Deicide - Legion RE: Favorite Death Metal Albums 1988-1993 \m/ \m/ - Daysbetween - 11-01-2015 My top 3: Entombed - Left Hand Path Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness Autopsy - Mental Funeral Runners up: Repulsion - Horrified Massacre - From Beyond Dismember - Like an Ever Flowing Stream Nocturnus - The Key Master - Master Pestilence - Testimony of the Ancients Grave - Into the Grave |
