LUMACHE IN UMIDO = earth snails, cooked in tomato sauce, vegetables (usually potatoes or peppers) and spices, and served still inside of their shells...... well...... believe me or not, thay are something I can loose my head for......

and here are 2 other creations by me, the yellow one is a special nacho dip that I make, can post the recipe if you guys want, the other one is an "amuse-bouche" (hope you can get the reference here) and it's ham wrapped around spring onions and philadelfia cheese, enjoy

Ok so the ingredients are:
about 2 medium red onions cut in small cubes
about half a jar of mayo (I use the light one)
around 400 g of grated yellow cheddar cheese
some sweet (or spicy according to taste) paprika
mix everything except for the paprika well, and put in a pan and sprinkle the paprika on top,put in the oven until the cheese melts fully and voila

I have never tried snails, not intending to either. They look disgusting so that doesn't really help in wanting to eat them.
Though when it rains here... in my garden i could find a meal for a whole family only existing from snails, man i have loads of them going around here.

I've said it...... most of the people can't imagine that a snail, if cooked in the right way, can be good to eat, because it looks disgusting...... my friend...... I'll come to get a round in your garden some of these rainy days
