I guess I got into sludge metal because it seems to be a perfect crossover between hardcore and metal. I've spent years listening to superfast hardcore/grind/metal/powerviolence etc, i'm just into heavy riffs now, the slower and more doomy the better! .

Bro. I hear that through and through. With age the tempo got slower and slower, lower and heavier for me also. I got into this neat sub genre as my boy described it "funeral metal" band named Ahab does it perfectly, lowest slowest I've heard!!

-black cobra/ cavity
-superjoint ritual/ down
-seven sisters of sleep

black cobra and cavity share the same lead guitar/vocals but change in style over the years, same with superjoint and down(phil anselmo)
