Edge Of Night - Last Artwork

In the year 2007, Edge of Night was founded by Andreas L. (guitars) and Oliver G. (drums) with the aim to combine Black Metal with atmospheric clean parts and a more varied, progressive rhythmic approach. After some months of rehearsing, the two musicians included the vocalist "Grolig" into the band. His expressive and desperate way of shouting and whispering became an important part of Edge of Night. In 2009 the band decided to record their first album “Last artwork” together with producer Stefan Traunmüller at his Soundtempel Studio. After many weeks of dedicative work an emotional and unique piece of Suicidal Ambient Black Art was finished. The lyrics are about different aspects of madness, misanthropy and suicide as the only way of easing the pain of life. The “last artwork” represents the act of suicide as an ultimate form of self-fulfillment. At the moment the band is in search of a proper label and the recordings for the second album will start very soon.
