Benthic City - Discography

Benthic City represents a group of enlightened minds who have recently pledged their base
organic forms in servitude to the Cthulhu Mythos. We gladly witness the days to come and
prepare to go back into the sea to remain immortal. We are becoming the Benthos, and
through all the stochastic events in this wretched life, there is a constant, grasping
undertow that delivers unto a singularity.

Benthic City was formed in early 2010 by the original members of Minotauros: Ryan Cliff,
David Lockinger, and Paul Antonelli. In spring of 2010, a fourth member, Aaron McLean from
Merchants of Death was brought in as an additional guitarist to accommodate the increasing
complexity and dynamics of the music. With the addition of a new guitarist came new
material and a powerful new sound was born. Benthic city thrives on odd-timing riffs,
dreamy instrumental progressions, and archaic vocals, combined with a
progressive/sludge/thrash metal influence which gives them their unique sound. Benthic
City is currently playing shows at local venues in Kamloops and looking to expand their
range to larger western Canadian cities such as Vancouver and Edmonton. They are currently
recording their debut LP which will be finished in summer 2011.
