Тем, кто знаком с творчеством Acid Bath, объяснять кто такой Дакс Риггс не нужно - мрачные тексты, проникновенный вокал, тягучая "южная" музыка. Ещё во времена существования Acid Bath (1995-97) Дакс начал экспериментировать с акустикой и затеял проект Daisyhead & The Mooncrickets, который был близким к блюзу и фолку, сохраняя при этом отличительные черты музыки Дакса: мрачность, тягучесть, психоделичность. Однако, после записи двух демок проект был свёрнут. После гибели басиста Оди Питре и роспуска Acid Bath Дакс создал проект Agents Of Oblivion, который исполнял стонер/свамп рок (южную разновидность блюз-рока). Этот проект записал один альбом - посвящение Оди Питре. Далее пошёл всё более сильный крен в сторону свамп-рока и был создан проект Deadboy & The Elephantmen (В названии отражена симпатия Дакса к группе Dead Boys и фильму Дэвида Линча "Человек-слон"). Последнее время Дакс продолжает линию DBATEM уже как сольный исполнитель.
