Info: The English-Dutch band FORCEFIELD was created in 1986 by British vocalist and guitarist Ray Fenwick. In the seventies, Fenwick played in several well-known compositions (such as FANCY and IAN GILLAN BAND), but he did not even know the real popularity, although he even managed to release the "Keep America Beautiful Get A Haircut" solo album in 1971. In the eighties, Fenwick mostly dealt with session work and, as already mentioned, in 1986 in the studio where he worked on the album Andrew Caine, Ray met keyboardist and vocalist Peter Prescott. Prescott wasn't a newcomer to the rock scene either, and over the past few years he recorded with MISSION OF BURMA, CHAMELEON, BIRDSONGS OF MESAZOIC and SERGEANT. Fenwick suggested to Peter to try to launch a studio project and so soon the debut single of the group FORCEFIELD entered the market with a cover of the song DEEP PURPLE "Smoke On The Water". In June 1987, Fenwick invited several distinguished friends to the studio and began recording the first Forcefield album. The work on the repertoire did not take a lot of time, besides the song DEEP PURPLE, the band recorded several more cover versions, including "Set Me Free" (KINKS), "Sunshine Of Your Love" (CREAM), "Whole Lotta Love" (LED ZEPPELIN ), "White Room" (CREAM), "You Really Got Me" (KINKS), "Keep On Running" (SPENCER DAVIS GROUP), etc. In addition to the duet mentioned above, drummer Cozy Powell (Cozy Powell, ex-JEFF BECK GROUP, HAMMER, RAINBOW, MSG, WHITESNAKE, ELP, etc. etc., bass player Mo Foster (Mo Foster, ex-JEFF BECK, MSG, GARY MOORE), bass player Neil Murray (Neil Murray, ex-WHITESNAKE , GARY MOORE), keyboard player Nick Magnus (Nick Magnus, ex-CHINA CRISIS, CRY NO MORE) and keyboard player Chris Cozens. The album did not fall into any lists of popularity, but because of the musicians participating in the project, it settled in many private collections. The idea Fenwick liked, and in 1988 he began work on the second disc "The Talisman". Prescott did not participate in this time, in 1996 he released two solo albums ("Turn It Up", "Mean Business") and later joined PASSION PLAY. As a vocalist, Tony Martin (Topu Martin, ex-ALLIANCE) was invited, already singing at BLACK SABBATH. Of the instrumentalists, Powell, Murray and Cozens retained their places, and guitarist Jan Akkerman, ex-FOCUS and bassist Lawrence Cottle (Laurence Cottle, ex-DON AIREY, FREUDIANA, ITCHY FINGERS, BLACK SABBATH) joined them. On the third album, "That Oz And Back", Fenwick has a new star singer, Graham Bonnet (Graham Bonnet, ex-RAINBOW, MSG, ALCATRAZZ) and drummer Terry Pack, ex-ENID, who played on Johnny Mars's solo album (Johnny Mars). ) "Life On Mars", which produced Fenwick in 1984. In 1990, FORCEFIELD began recording the last "vocal-instrumental" album "Let The Wild Run Free". The lineup, including vocalist Bonnet, remained unchanged, with the exception of the added guitarist Bernie Marsden (ex-PAICE ASHTON LORD, WHITESNAKE, ALASKA) and keyboardist Don Airey (Don Airey, ex-RAINBOW, OZZY OSBOURNE, GARY MOORE). In addition to the star composition, the fourth FORCEFIELD album is also interesting in two cover versions - "The Wind Cries Mary" by Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix) and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" BAD COMPANY. Along with "Let The Wild Run Free", Jan Ackermann's album "The Noise Of Art" was released. In 1992, Fenwick decided to complete the FORCEFIELD saga with the instrumental album "Instrumentals", recorded with: Fenwick, Ackermann, Marsden, Airy, Powell, and guitarist Mario Parga.
