Norwegian black metal / death metal.  {#dirol.gif}

Thanks for the update, syntexid.

2019 - the guys can operate their instruments, but I'm not finding this album very engaging, rather ho-hum. Having played all but two tracks, I skipped to the 2022 compilation and, so far, so good.

2022 - basically sinister-sounding black metal. I'm not really catching more than a faint aroma of death here, maybe in the arrangements a bit, and the occasionally slow pace, but not the sound; it's fine by me - I find this music decent as is. An angry snarling vocalist, solid drums, springy bass, a satisfactory heaviness to it all - and not crazy fast, it's more heavy than fast, on average. There's also (I think) a miniscule amount of background synth somewhere in here, not featured prominently. I can easily enjoy this album.

2026 - eerie! Take the previous album, add some eerie dischordant creepiness, and we arrive at this fine album. Some synth / keyboard enhancement, again not super prominent, but more than the previous album; it's nice - it's responsible for providing creepiness, and probably the theremin from Hell sound effect I heard earlier. Strongly black metal; trace elements of death are present, again in the arrangements, in my opinion. It's a good album of medium+ intensity.

I think I enjoy 2022 the most. It has the least synth, and most overall heavy. 2026 is a close second place, but may dominate in sinisterness department.
