Quite some time since I discovered Metal Doom interesting groups, and by chance I found a good find the hand of these Italians who have the power to remember specific aspects of bands that I love.
In this first 1997 album Doom we find a very melodic and dramatic atmosphere, the guitars have a great deal of melody over the riffs are harder than in a more discreet, certainly not oppressive Doom-Death without compromise, with some well integrated sound and a good base set of keyboards.
These abundant keyboards remind me a bit to the atmosphere of Morphia and Desire (though not as sotifisticada like the latter), and no shortage of pianos that follow the same melody of the guitars.
The voice is a curious feature, for clean speech (dominant) reminds me of the dying voice of Australians Cryptal Darkness which intensifies the drama of the album's aura. But unlike those, including at times guttural songs chosen to embrace violent passions, but in my opinion are a bit loose and I would fancy a good strong voice for those occasions.
And what about the right cover, a great detail of painting "Ophelia"by John Everett Millais. Very appropriate to reflect the transience of all that is beautiful to listen to their music and represents the agony of his vocals. As you're reading one of those Renaissance works that remind us that take advantage before you wither existential winter.
You know what they are there if you like the above in addition to other bands like Anathema Saturnus or older. Ideal for lovers of the romantic side and reminiscent of Doom Metal.
This Italians mix some Doom Metal with Goth Metal in a perfectly redenption. All Father songs claim redemption. A perfect album a perfect goth doomy one. Songs like Take me over A Grey Kaleidoscope & Unspoken are in the gallery of the most brilliand songs ever. Bands like this should never end.
