This is an excellent group, and this discography is very good, whichever way you slice it. I give it 5 stars for the quality of the music, and for how much I enjoy the stuff in here that I enjoy, which is just over half of it.
The early elbums are an insane heavy melodic metal assault, endless double bass, change-up of arrangements, and generally powerful, aggressive metal with unlimited energy. Then around the EP, the style changed (or the EP is an anomaly) and it became very much doom metal, like heavy doom. Not at all like the early albums. Finally we arrive at the 2023 album in here, which is a return to something "vaguely" similar to the earliest ones but not remotely as intense and pounding, it's become much more average melodic metal, much slower, and has these clean acoustic parts -- like the musicians have been tempered by something (age, perhaps) or maybe just wanted a change of pace... The 2023 album is good, to be sure, but I really prefer the style of music in the earliest CD's; they are exceptional, in my subjective opinion. The later stuff is generic and boring; so the early albums earn this discography the 5 stars from me.
