The band was founded in the summer of 2002 in Tula, Russia by three musicians: "Neotruth" Alex (vocal), Hellena (lead guitar) and Michael (rhythm guitar). From august of 2002 to september 2003 they were busy composing and recording material for their debut album, which would be named "Shortcuts of Erotic Violence" in the "CutterSound HomeStudio" in Tula.
Their initial direction was Melodic Death Metal, but the musicians did not intend to fit themselves into any strict frame and - given that their musical tastes were not limited by any single style, elements of Heavy, Power and even Folk and Gothic can be heard on the album.
Completely unexpected for them, Edenbeast were named among the top five bands from Tula as the result of a poll organized by the local Rock-Club "Молот" and the weekly "Слобода" press. Probably due to their demo recordings being distributed unofficially. The band was created as a purely studio project and thus the perspective of playing a local festival has caught them off guard. They had to hire two more musicians: Vadim Gryzlov (bass) and Kirill Fedorov (drums). This is how the new 'live' period of the band has begun.
In July of 2005 the band's debut album was released by the russian "Metalism Records" label. The band has started composing music for their next release... And this is when it has become apparent that all three founding members have completely opposite ideas about the artistic direction of the band. In their search for the new sound during 2005-2006 Hellena and Michael have composed enough material for two LPs. But they could never find a compromise, the thensions were rising and the enthusiasm to proceed was dwindling.
Alex stated that he does not want to play Metal preferring something "lighter", "gothic-y" and more "fashionable". Hellena was already playing something "gothic-y" in the famous Tula band Forgive-Me-Not and wanted to make Edenbeast heavier. It was apparent to Michael that neither of the two would want any of his Death/Thrash ideas and took them to another Tula band called Soulscream. Recently hired bass player Vadim Gryzlov was already playing guitar in the local Synth-Pop band Fatal Aim and has also joined Forgive-Me-Not in 2006 as a session bassist. The drummer Kirill Fedorov was already playing in about half of Tula bands simultaneously and obviously had no time to invest into Edenbeast.
This situation could not last forever. In 2006 Hellena has left Forgive-Me-Not because she has gotten completely sick with Gothic. Her idea was to create a whole new project from scratch with Michael because it would have very little to do with Edenbeast musically. It was apparent that the Edenbeast has become obsolete, that none of them are enthusiastic about it anymore and that there can be no compromise. And thus the musicians have made the collective decision to discontinue the band.

В период с августа 2002 по сентябрь 2003 они сочинили материал для дебютного альбома, получившего название "Shortcuts of Erotic Violence", и записали его в тульской "CutterSound HomeStudio".
Выбрав в качестве начального ориентира melodic death, группа все же не стремилась зажимать себя в рамки какого-то одного стиля, и, поскольку музыкальные пристрастия участников коллектива не ограничивались каким-то одним направлением, в их музыке можно найти элементы классического хэви/пауэр и даже фолковые и готические интонации.
Неожиданно для себя группа вошла в пятёрку лучших команд Тулы по результатам голосования, проводившегося тульским рок-клубом "Молот" и местным еженедельником "Слобода" - вероятно благодаря свободно гулявшим неофициальным демо-записям. Изначально группа задумывалась как студийный проект, а потому - обнаружив себя перед необходимостью играть живой концерт на грядущем фестивале - музыкантам пришлось спешно добирать музыкантов до полноценного состава. Этими музыкантами стали Вадима Грызлов (бас) и Кирилл Фёдоров (барабаны). Так начался новый, концертный этап в жизни команды.
В июле 2005 года дебютный альбом EDENBEAST “Shortcuts Of Erotic Violence” был выпущен российским лейблом Metalism Records. Музыканты приступили к работе над материалом ко второму диску… В ходе которой выяснилось, что у всех трёх основателей группы немного разные взгляды на то, в каком направлении им следует двигаться дальше. За период 2005-2006 в поисках нового звучания Hellena и Michael сочинили столько нового материала, что егобы с лихвой хватило на два полноформатных альбома. Однако компромисс так и не был найден, разногласия в группе нарастали, а энтузиазм композиторов постепенно начал угасать.
Alex декларировал свой отход от металла, призывая играть что-то более "модное", "лёгкое" и "готичное". Hellena в то время уже итак играла "готичное" в известной тульской группе "Forgive-Me-Not", и наоборот хотела утяжеления Edenbeast. Michael же, видя, что его melodic death-thrash идеи не находят реализации в Edenbeast, присоединяется к тульской группе Soulscream. Бас-гитарист группы Вадим Грызлов помимо Edenbeast играл на гитаре в синт-поп группе Fatal Aim, a в 2006 году также присоединился к Forgive-Me-Not в качестве сессионного басиста. Барабанщик Кирилл Фёдоров всегда играл чуть ли не со всеми тульскими группами одновременно, и у него, естественно, также не было лишнего времени на Edenbeast.
Такая ситуация не могла тянуться долго. В июне 2006 года Hellena ушла из Forgive-Me-Not по причине окончательной утраты интереса к gothic metal, и предложила Michael'у с нуля создать новый проект с другим названием, так как он должен был иметь мало общего со стилистикой Edenbeast. Музыканты поняли, что музыка и концепция Edenbeast уже стала для них неактуальна, что у них больше нет энтузиазма, сил и желания идти на компромиссы. Принимается совместное решение о роспуске команды.
