I'm liking this stuff just fine!
Have had Old Forest laying about for years but like so many others, they never got played enough for me to get into them, I guess. So I started their discography from the beginning to get an idea what the heck they can do.. OK, they're pretty good -- I like it. So then arrive at this new album, which I didin't know about until I don't know, a few hours ago or something. Playing it now.... I like it well enough. It's not making my ears bleed, but it does vibrate the floor a bit, and has semi-evil vocals and a generally sinister, sympho-enhanced sound. It's not as angry and aggressive as our favorite angry and aggressive BM people, but it'll do. And I think it would be satisfactory on the bedtime playlist.
