Danish death - black metal.
True to form & in the spirit of the earliest albums, it's intense and potent, but in my opinion, a bit more black metal than death metal. No complaint as such - more of an observation. However, by a small margin, I think I liked this gang's earliest half-dozen albums the most. They were slightly more deathy to my ears, solid & heavy, energetic. This album is strongly black metal, and fine -- maybe I'm just in a mood for more deathy metal today. I'll hear Maleficium II shortly..
