Santet - Discography (2013 - 2025)

 Black metal from Indonesia. 

2013.. Quite good, once it gets underway. Nice melodic black metal. Eager to hear the next albums:

2021.. Not pounding, not crazy fast; medium heavy. Melodic  guitarry synthy black. Fine background / atmosphere, but I find the vocal frequencies quite dominant in this album. Equalization is desired.

2023.. Vocals & highs are too much. The music is fine, but either the vocals or the mix are off.

2024.. A split album.. Sounds warmer, deeper, not so harsh like the previous album, Interesting percussion, sounds like someone is being repeatedly whacked -- a nice long track #1 is cool. Evil vocals, background synth.. Speedy rhythmic rhythm section. So far, I like this album the best. The warm solid sound and increased pace are pleasant. And an epic lively nature. I enjoy the sound of the percussion. And the splittee, ehh, not too bad -- Istidraj -- first track sounds like an evil version of Danko Jones' Strut. But the sound of these guys' tracks isn't nearly as nice as Santet's tracks.

2025.. This album's sound quality is second only to the first half of the split album. It's good. The music has a bit of added weight and aggression. It's good. It's the best album, besides the split.
