Soulshedder - BM, Bulgaria:

Heavy, thick, nice bass including chunky bass guitar too; great sound. Classic type of black metal, aggressive and gloomy, medium-fast, with hoarse black metal vocals, and a deeper, deathy guy. There's some melodicity to this music too; it isn't exklusively harsh & sinewy, although very much so. Highly enjoyable metal, and with a few moments of harmonized singing of a chorus-like section; not (metal)core, but something a bit similar, and not unpleasant (track #2 specifically I refer to). There are also several acoustic sections with a folky feeling.
This album's inspiration or theme, in part at least, seems to be Apollonia, and the ancient history of that region of Bulgarian Thrace on the Black Sea, settled during the Bronze Age. And there are alleged to be vampires there. Thrilling!
(Thank you, Wikipedia.)
Historical interest and fine music, from Bulgaria.
