I don’t mind these guys at all. I know black metal isn’t supposed to have great production, but these guys have pulled off the traditional tones and atmosphere while disguising it within a surprisingly solid recording. I really like this guy’s vocals—harsh but strong and clear.

Most of the time, black metal bands within certain subgenres end up cloning one another. These guys definitely touch on what others have done, but they add their own twist. I also appreciate that it’s not blazing fast; just a solid 80–120 BPM throughout.
