Chilean black thrash? Or it's black metal..    

Black metal to the left of me, thrash to the right.. Here I am, stuck in the middle of them...

I really like the sound of this album, though it took a few listens to get a grip on it; the album progresses sort of slowly, gradually increasing potency. Tracks are nice lengths too. It's at least as much black metal as it is thrash; sort of half black metal, half black thrash... So... Double-blackened thrash? Actually that kind of fits the sound of this richly grim, nauseating, pounding assault on the senses. There's a weird reverb effect, giving a unique sound to the music. Pace is good, percussion is thrashy, heavy, guitar is twisty & riffy, the vocalist is quite angry & tormented.. and the floor rumbles. Check, check. I like it, whichever sides of the genre fence it falls on.
