This group from Nepal is one of the best things I've enountered lately, atmospheric pressure or not.

Discovered this group inside the 5-CD Various Artists compilation of black metal from around the world; it's on the tracker. That compilation had a single track by this group, and this tracker had the one album containing that track. Having heard that album, I decided that more of these guys must be obtained -- a good decision. And diegocereal delivered! Some of the music defies simple & adequate description. I'll try, but not by album; it's too complicated.

You really should just hear it all for yourself. {#declare.gif}

Most of the lead vocals are black / death metal of some form or another, and male. But there's plenty of wonderful female accompaniment, somewhat unusual for the music it's found in here. As for Grindcore -- yes, there are a bunch of tracks, especially on one or two albums (I don't know which at this instant, although I listen to this group right now, again, in a different order) which have a definite grindy, rolly feeling -- black & roll or death & roll or grindcore -- you deicide which it is to you.

Some of this is like sympho black deathcore: and not made from death metal and metalcore, but from death metal and Hardcore. Maybe little distinction but I think it's reflected in the music. These deathcore-like tracks, during their slow sections, have intense female vocals, operatic and wonderful, with somewhat gentle music -- not metalcore; while the male vocals are not especially melodic but more like Thrash, straight from a Hardcore upbringing.. And then the heavy comes on and it will fry your kitchen appliances if you let it. It's potent!! You can almost visualize the components coming together and becoming deathcore.

The synth in this music is represented variously -- there's the background accompaniment expected of synth/sympho metal, but also these beautiful, melodic keyboard sections, quite enchanting! Some tracks are gentle, and some are brutal. The synth goes where it needs to.

And the main gist of this assortment, when not deviating into something already mentioned above, is sympho death metal, and (sympho) melodic black metal. When it kicks in with full intensity, screeching black vocals and high-torque incendiary percussion, guitars like meat-saws cutting through frozen bones -- it's thrilling! A couple tracks feel like they'll pound you sideways, like having your teeth removed with a pneumatic chipping hammer.

Still I must listen to this discography many more times before fully grasping the scope of this work. But put simply: my humble opinion is it is amazing and excellent; a superbly talented S-BM/DM team -- and they look good in their makeup too. {#blum2.gif}
